My research as an art and design teacher centres on how physical spaces and objects shape our experiences, particularly in relation to inclusivity, identity, and well-being.

One key project invited students to reimagine school spaces to better support individuals with a range of physical and sensory needs emphasising empathy, accessibility, and universal design.

In a more recent project, I guided students in creating speculative objects from the year 3000, using clay and digital design. Split into groups focusing on jewellery, technology, food, and toys, they drew from historic and present day relics and advertisements to imagine future artefacts. This project ties closely to my interdisciplinary practice, exploring modern objects of worship and how cultural symbols evolve. It encouraged students to reflect on the values embedded in the things we make and cherish - past, present, and imagined.
