Units Of Learning
Below is a curated selection of student work developed across three units of learning, delivered in two post-primary schools. These projects span a first year group, second year group and one fifth year group, each exploring a distinct theme through a variety of materials and techniques. The second year group engaged in clay modelling, imagining speculative objects from the year 3000, inspired by historical artefacts and future design. A first year group explored the connection between emotion and colour by creating expressive “mood monsters” in clay, each representing feelings they experienced when starting secondary school - transforming abstract emotions into imaginative, tactile forms. The fifth year group investigated distorted portraiture through a surrealist lens, using an analogous colour scheme to heighten emotion and abstraction.
